Visiting Preschools in Luang Prabang Province
Yesterday we visited three of our preschools in Luang Prabang Province; Napho ( built in 2004), Mouang Khai (built in 2005)and Kokmanh (built in 2007). We distributed SoyJoy nutrition bars to the children, generously donated by Southeast Asian Medical Support
Feeding the Children
Late last year Nourish Lao Children donated the funds to build a kitchen on the Thachok Village school grounds. Kitchen supplies were delivered earlier this year. Give Children A Choice provided the furniture for the kitchen and coordinated the construction.
Reaching Out
What’s the good news? We delivered 650 bars of soap and plenty of nutritional bars (1500) to the Northern Regional NonFormal Education center school in Luang Prabang. This is a state run boarding school for disadvantaged single / no parent
Support Begets Support
What’s the great news? We had a fantastic afternoon with our friends at UXO LAO. The UXO removal team has been a godsend for our preschool programs. They’ve always been ready and prepared to clear UXO at our new school
Clothing the Children

Thank you SEAM!
Japan-based Southeast Asia Medical Support Organization (SEAM) donated blood pressure cuffs and stethescopes to the Xieng Khouang provincial hospital. Met the hospital director Dr Kormoua to present the generous donation and who put them to immediate use by the hospital
Road Trip Through Six Provinces!
What’s the good news? Dori embarked on a six province drive February 27th. First goal is to explore a social venture model of “creating a village tax” on villagers’ business revenue, where funds would be directed exclusively to children’s education.
Our New Children’s Learning Center in Kokpherng Village
Breaking Ground! The 450 square meter (4800 square foot) children’s learning center in Ban Kok Pherng has broken ground. When the project is complete it will have four classrooms and a huge 240 square meter (2400 square foot) activity room!
