This morning we visited the Nonghed District Hospital, Mother and Child Division for an update on the distribution of daily multivitamins to every pregnant/lactating mother and all children from 6 months to 5 years (plus). We had the chance to receive an update, speak with the Director and the others involved in running the program. We spoke to a few mothers to be that were at the hospital and they all take the vitamins everyday, they all remark about their improved health and energy. They want to know when they will receive another shipment!
We were out and about in Nonghet District talking to Moms/Dads and their children about our vitamin program. We met up with this Mom and her son at the Nam Men health center, she is pregnant with her fourth child and her son is 5, they are both taking our daily multivitamins. The Mom told us she had much more energy and a better appetite, she felt better through this pregnancy then the previous ones. Her son also has a better appetite, more energy and less sickness.
