Success & Rewards

Everyone involved in our program, from our management, our donors and their local communities, shares in its many rewards and benefits. Our comprehensive preschool program has flourished.

Rewards for all involved

Village children, who experience critical "formative years training" in preschool will increase their educational achievement in elementary school. This is particularly true for village girls, as preschool attendance equates to longer educational participation.

Village parents, who are offered full participation in the construction of a new preschool that will last generations.

Donors, who select a village and watch the preschool construction progress through our periodic status reports. Our donors know they are making a difference and are invited to visit the preschools and celebrate the school opening with the village children and parents.

The benefits are many

Efficiency - 100% of donations are directed towards our projects.
Empowerment - Each involved village contributes toward the project cost, fostering a sense of ownership.
Participation - Direct donor involvement including selection of the village, regular receipt of email updates with photos and progress reports and participation in preschool opening celebrations.
Holistic - As much focus is placed on what occurs inside the preschool as the structure itself. Our programs provide the school, teachers' salaries, desks, storage cabinets, school supplies and books.
Effectiveness - Our preschools are built in 70 to 90 days, yet will last generations.
Sustainability - We make sure all is in place to maintain the preschool programs.
Cultural Sensitivity - Non-official-Lao speaking ethnic children are taught in the national language Pasa Lao, so they are better prepared for primary school.
Collaboration - NGOs, including Save the Children Norway, UNESCO, and UNICEF, local government (education and health departments) all participate in our programs.

'I want to thank you deeply for your kindness and I would like to give special recognition to GCAC. GCAC has built and filled preschools with children in Luang Prabang Province. Without this, GCAC is still helping preschools teaching - learning materials and also teachers have been provided salaries by GCAC. This nonprofit organization is helping our children in schools. We thank all of you and supporters. You are always good intention to help our education… many remote village children succeed in school and get a better education.'
